An Unforgetable Selichot Tour in Jerusalem
We, a group of secular young people (ages 27-35), had the day before yesterday an unforgettable Selichot tour, under the wonderful guidance of Shimi. Part of our group, already enjoyed his guidance during a tour to Sharona (the Templers’ site). We met at the Mamila mall, and from there he took us to Mount Zion and David’s Tomb, the Candle Room, and a fascinating encounter at the Tfouzot Yeshiva. From there we arrived at the Jewish quarter at the Sephardic synagogues compound. The climax of this tour was the Kotel Square, where we could see various currents of Judaism (Chabad, Sephardic and Ashkenazi Jews, women and men), were conducting their Selichot prayers. This was an impressive anthropological-religious experience. We concluded the tour with a magnificent night view from the Mount of Olives. This was a wonderful ending, for an unforgettable experience under the excellent guidance of Shimi.

Jerusalem - The Three Religions
I have visited yesterday Jerusalem in the company of four visitors from France, under the wonderful guidance, who I have I addressed by a warm recommendation of friends. This was an enriching and exciting tour which covered the holy places of three religions. My French guests have told me at the end of the day, that they return home with an excellent experience, exciting and unforgettable of Jerusalem, thanks to the exciting, and knowledgeable guide, that thanks to his special personality and the interest he raised in us, we have not felt the horrors of the hot weather which could have hurt our pleasure on this tour. Thank you Shimi, in my name and on behalf of my guests who had an amazing experience during this tour with you in Jerusalem!

A Fascinating Experience in Sharona
Last Friday we had a magnificent experience under the exciting guidance of Shimi Oron, during our interesting and exciting tour of Sharona (the Templers’ compound in the Kirya of Tel-Aviv). Shimi gave us interesting details on the Templers at this place, the story of the houses and the different figures of the Moshava, and the climax of this visit was the tour of the olive press, the refinery, the winery and connecting them beautifully to the history of the Kirya and the establishment of the Israeli Air force. This exciting and pleasant journey under the wonderful guidance of Shimi (with whom we have toured Jaffa a year ago), have given us a wonderful experience. We recommend warmly to tour under his guidance!!

An Experience When Touring the Herodion and Jerusalem
Shimi Oron was our guide in our tour of Herodion and Jerusalem. We, a group of retired teachers, had an excellent experience under Shimi’s guidance. He impressed us with the richness of his knowledge, his pleasant personality and his very personal approach. He manifested a lot of patience, pleasantness and humor. All this has given us a pleasant and interesting tour experience. The Heritage Tour that Ended With a Song
During the Passover Chol HaMoed (12.4), we went on a families’ tour under the wonderful guidance of Shimi (who we enjoyed already his guidance in December, in Zikhron Ya'akov and its environment. This time we toured with him the city of Safed, Bat-Yaar, Amouka, Rosh-Pina, and we ended the tour at the Ein-Gev Festival where we had the opportunity to sing.
The tour through the wonderful flourishing landscapes, and the impressive and fascinating stories he told us, turns a tour under Shimi Oron’s guidance into an unforgettable experience, including for the young people who were part of our group. Therefore we express our thanks and our warm recommendation!!!

In the Footsteps of the Nabateans in the Negev
Last Thursday I have participated in an exciting tour following the footsteps of the extinguished culture of the Nabateans, who have left impressive relics in the Negev. We had an exciting tour under the guidance of Shimi, the wonderful tour-guide, with his impressive treasure of knowledge to the cities of the Nabateans: Mamshit, Bor Havarim, Avdat and Shivta. This has been for us an additional experience under his guidance (we have toured with him in the past in Neve-Zedek). Thanks, from us all and also for the wonderful pictures that will remind us the wonderful experience we had. I recommend him warmly!

The Western Negev
On Thursday we toured with Shimi, and this time to the Western Negev. We haves started our journey at the Nativ Ha’Assara locality, with the view of the northern Gaza Strip. From there we continued to Kibbutz Nir - to the fields’ of the guardian’s hill, where we could get a view of Beit Hanun and Sderot. From there we continued to the Black File site, which commemorates the Retribution operations of the Israeli paratroopers in Gaza and at other sites. We visited kibbutz Beeri and its sites. Unfortunately the Anemones fields this year were not very rich. This was an amazing tour under Shimi Oron’s fascinating guidance. He has incorporated in his guidance, the young history of our land, instructed us on the water problem, the actuality (the Operation Cast Lead – amazing lookout points), about the nature and the landscape. An unforgettable experience!

A Menorah Tour with an Additional Value!
Yesterday I had the privilege to participate with my family and several relatives (including a couple and their son from France), on a Menorahs tour under the wonderful and enlightening guidance of a pleasant and dear tour-guide, Shimi Oron.
Our tour started at midday at the City of David from where we entered the Jewish quarter and its historical sites, with the climax - a visit to the various Menorahs that were kindled throughout the quarter, and concluding it by our own kindling of a Menorah at the Kotel Square.
This is not our first visit to Jerusalem, but the good tour-guide, Shimi, with his large knowledge, turned this trip into an unforgettable experience (despite the cold Jerusalem weather). We were taken by his charm and recommend him warmly.
Well done to a pleasant personality!

Akko Which I Did not Know
Last Thursday, me and my family, participated in a fun an exciting tour under the guidance of Shimi Oron. Despite the fact that I have visited Akko a lot in the past, including during its theater festival, the Shimi’s excellent guidance, has given to me and my family, as well as to the rest of the group, a new and different angle of Akko. Shimi’s explanations are amazing, as for his wide knowledge, and the connection to the place. Where seriousness was required, Shimi was serious, but at the same time he seasoned his explanations with humor and good spirit. In one word - it is a recommended tour!
Shimi, thank you, and most probably we shall meet many times more. From us: Yehouda, Lea, Yoav and Shira… (And also from the rest of the Haverim of the group)

We concluded the trip with a visit to the colorful flea market; for the first time we saw the market under a different angle and had a different view of it.
