You were a wonderful tour guide in every way possible and you certainly kept your promise that it would be a trip of a lifetime. It will take me a very long time to convey to my church group what you taught us about Israel, her history, beauty, creativeness, determination, and generosity.
We talked on the way home about how smart you are and how blessed we were that God led us to you as our guide. We met you at the airport as our guide but feel we left from you at the airport as our friend. I will continue to pray for you, your family, and Israel. During the trip, someone in Old Jerusalem, stepped out of their shop and told us that the day we found you was our lucky day, I have to agree. Shimi, your heart for people; along with your depth of knowledge; and love for country gave us so much more than what we paid for. For that, I thank you. When I share about what we learned from you, others get so excited and say, “I want to go next time”. I am already starting another list of places and things to see and to learn from you next time.
